A medieval heritage
During the Middle Ages a small church was erected along the
antique Domitian Way between Nîmes and Montpellier in the
heart of Languedoc Roussillon and named Saint-Paul de Cabrières.
To give evidence to this bygone monument the domain that was
built on its ruins bears its name today : Château Grès-Saint
Paul. Property of the Servière family since 1830, the
vineyards are situated in the commune of
Lunel
lying over the first tray bordering the Mediterranean Sea and
overlooking the Camargue and Etang de L'Or. |

An
appellation vineyard
Famous as early as the 15th century, classitied AOC, the
Villafranchian Grès Saint-Paul terroir comprises valuable
natural elements favourable to the making ot' tine wines.
The lithologic nature and the mineral composition of its deep
layers enhance the terroir identity through its vines and its
wines. The Muscat wines have complex aromas mixing verbena,
candied lemon and stewed peach. The reds have spicy aromas (black
pepper, cinnamon, nutmeg, cade oil).
Thus Grès Saint-Paul has the privilege of producing two
Appellation wines : AOC Muscat de Lunel
- AOC Coteaux du Languedoc. |
